Born in 2024 at the legendary Wheatsheaf Inn Sessions, Shifnal—where musicians gather and the tunes flow freely every Tuesday night —Mr G and The Faith Healers were formed. They are a band with a story as colourful as their sound. Each member brings their own musical experiences from different bands and genres, but it was their shared love of the blues that truly lit the fuse. This eclectic crew is fronted by Mr G (Graham Sells), singer songwriter, guitar, and harmonica, while JB Blakey, whose guitar work is the band’s secret weapon.

JB lays down grooves that are gritty and infectious, setting feet tapping with driving rhythms. But when the spotlight finds him, he glides into solos that are as smooth as glass—silky, expressive, and soaked in bluesy soul and he sings. Keeping the rhythm tight (and spirits high), Martin Neeson drives the drums, he is the bands engine also percussion, and vocals. The groove is handled by bass maestro Kevin Lineton (yes, he sings too), However Mr G and The Faith Healers wouldn’t be complete without the unmistakable, soulful sounds of Pete Skoundrel’s Hammond organ. As his fingers dance across the keys, rich blues tones pour out and swirl through the room.
